At the seminar venue the visitors will be welcomed by photographs and the music associated with the Isle of Skye.

The recipe for Bulleit bourbon was originally created by Augustus Bulleit in 1830. It has been revived recently by his great, great grandson (and your host today), Tom Bulleit. Learn about Bulleit's unique character and charm whilst sampling several different styles of bourbon whiskey with Tom.

Nikka's second malt whisky distillery was founded in 1969. Chief Blender Hisamitsu talks about Miyagikyo's "Mother Water" and why the distillery was located where it is. He also discusses the style of fermentation and distillation and the warehouses that support the quality of this fine malt.

Managing Director Douglas Davidson updates us on progress at the Arran Distillery, now into its 13th year, and offers examples of some classic Arran styles, including sherry & bourbon casks.
Following the retirement of distillery manager Gordon Mitchell, the Arran Distillery continues to turn out a variety of fascinating limited edition products, including whiskies finished in Tokaji and Sassicaia wine casks!

The whisky critic Mr. Mamoru Tsuchiya gives a lecture on the new charm of Highland Park, a gold mine of raw whiskies.

The seminar features a tasting session of Mr. Tsuchiyafs limited edition cask series bottlings which are soon to be released.

Visitors are welcomed to enjoy the new and unique charm of Highland Park which Mr. Tsuchiya selected for a Japanese audience from a variety of raw whiskies preserved at Highland Park Distillery.

Sample the clear and fruity Hakushu spirit as distillery manager Maemura Hisashi explains about the Hakushu production process. You will have the opportunity to enjoy the distinctive freshness of the Hakushu character and to taste some whiskies not yet released onto the market.

Taste Island Life Willie Cochran - Manager
Willie Cochran has spent over 30 years of his life on Jura, producing single malt whisky on an island where the deer outnumber people by over 25 to1. He explains to us how the island, its climate and people all contribute to the final product and offers a range of samples including a cask specially selected by himself.

Frank and Kate return to offer a preview of some of the bottlings we are going to see in the future from the Springbank Distillery. Samples include a 1997 re-charred cask and a 1991 sherried malt. There will also be a very rare opportunity to sample some lowland-style Hazelburn whisky, from a Sauternes cask.
